St. Clare's Church in Dobra

The church in Dobra was founded by the von Dewitz family, the owners of the city. It was built in installments. Its presbytery and sacristy were built in the first half of the 19th century. 15th century. At the turn of the 15th and 16th centuries, the nave was built, and in the 16th century, a chapel next to the presbytery with a gallery was built. In 1742, a half-timbered top of the tower was built. In 1819, 1840 and 1842, further renovations of the church were carried out. In 1897, a new, neo-Gothic tower was built in place of the old tower, which was in poor condition. In the years 1897-1898, a thorough renovation of the temple was carried out.

In 1945, the church was taken over and consecrated by Catholics. In 1959, renovation was carried out and it was adapted to the Catholic liturgy.
