Prince Adolf zu Schaumburg-Lippe invested millions of gold marks in Bad Eilsen in order to catch up with the other well-known baths in Germany. After its inauguration in 1918, the hotel was considered the most beautiful hotel in Europe and attracted film actors and musicians.
