The miners' path was once a path used by miners to get to their workplace in the mine. The approx. 350 meter long path was restored and inaugurated at the end of 2000 as part of the village renewal. It is part of the "Quincunx Red Kite" cultural adventure trail. The path connects the slate road at the eastern end of town and the road Am Burggarten, near the evangelical church. Miners used to enjoy special privileges, they were exempt from taxes. This led to a quarrel with the other villagers. To get to the church, they had to walk the beaten path above the village. Since they didn't pay any church tax either, they were assigned poorer seats in the church.

If you hike the Quincunx hiking trail and reach Iba, you have to be a little careful not to miss the entrance to the miners' path. The narrow path runs for 350m above Iba and was once the path for local miners to their workplace.
Today it runs through idyllic village gardens and offers a beautiful view of the village of Iba.
