Inselsteich with memorial stone (Liebesinsel)

The island pond is enchanted in the Wildecker forest. A nice hiking destination.

The small pond is idyllically situated and a small wooden walkway leads to the island of love.

The Love Island is located in the island pond in the Wildecker Valley.
The island is easily accessible via a small wooden footbridge. In the middle of the island there is a stone that is a little mysterious. You look in vain for a statue on this stone and are surprised by the inscription on the stone "Quam rapuit invida mors restituta" - "That which envious death stole is here restored!"
We recommend the small hut cafe (open on weekends and public holidays from O-O) right at the entrance to the island, where homemade cakes and small drinks can be purchased at reasonable prices.
