Today's district court is a former mansion with an administrative court and ancillary buildings. There are 2 entrances from the Oberntor through the iron gate or around the corner. The gates are only open when the district court is open

The district court, a late baroque building from 1775.
This representative building was originally the manor house of an estate.
Among its previous owners was none other than King George V of Hanover around the middle of the last century.
The painted half-timbering is not a whim of a painter, but should give the impression of a massive building.
In accordance with the baroque zeitgeist, attempts were made to imitate non-existent structures with painterly means.
This also applies to the painted corner blocks.
