NN high, partly wooded hill in the Deister-Süntel valley, which belongs to the Calenberger Bergland.The Katzberg is built of Jura stone with a crest of Wealden sandstone. Due to the coniferous forest and the wavy meadow areas, the elevation gives an alpine-like impression.
