Hiking

The hike along the levada is currently (September 2025) not recommended. The path is not in good condition, and the view of the burnt landscape is not pleasant. If you do decide to walk, be sure to wear long trousers! The path is frequently irritated by brambles and gorse.

Hiking

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend it at the moment (09/2026). Very overgrown and many plants with thorns, so unfortunately it's no fun. You definitely need long pants. A shame, we broke off halfway and turned back. It cost us half a vacation day.
