Tips

  • The church was first mentioned in records around the year 700 as a baptistery. In 1225, the previously rectangular choir was extended by a three-sided choir. 1473 then a nave was grown. In 1742 the church became Baroque. In the 1920s, the church was too small, so was inserted between the choir and tower of the new building. On October 24, 1927 was then the church consecration by Bishop Joannes Baptista Sproll. In this extension, one found in the old choir the oldest murals Württembergs. On June 27, 1935, an earthquake destroyed part of the church, and the gable of the church tower fell into the square of the church in which no one was at that time. In 1968, the high altar was removed and the church got a new altar, ambo and tabernacle. These new liturgical places were created by Josef Henger. The consecration took place on Rosary Sunday, October 6, 1968.
