The Waldensian Church in Pinache is the oldest and largest solid Waldensian church in Germany. In 1702, the religious refugees first built a wooden church. However, this was soon in danger of collapsing, so the then pastor Jean Giraud asked Duke Eberhard Ludwig of Württemberg for financial support.

The construction of the solid church was made possible by collections, especially in the reformed countries, England, Holland and Switzerland. The church was completed and consecrated in 1721.

Church records were kept in Pinache and also in Serres. From 1705 in French and from 1823 in German.

Two gravestones commemorate the first two pastors of Pinache and Serres, who were buried under the pulpit. On the northwestern choir wall, the completely preserved gravestone in Latin provides information about the life of pastor Jean Giraud.

Remains of the gravestone of Scipion Arnaud, one of the sons of the famous Waldensian priest Henri Arnaud, are embedded in the wall under the pulpit.
