    Hiking

This spring, on the left of the Lieser and at the foot of the Daun castle hill, is also called the castle fountain and is probably the best known and most popular Drees in the city of Daun. You can reach them on a walk through the park by crossing the Lieser bridge.

City-famous and well-loved Sauerling (mineral spring).
The name Hotzendrees is very old and can be documented as early as 1565 (Johann Günther) and 1588 (Th. Tabernämontanus). This famous Heidelberg doctor and botanist worked for 36 years on a herbal book that is still recognized today. However, he only saw the publication of Part I (1588). On his numerous study trips, the doctor also came to the Eifel region and described Daun mineral springs in his work (p.332 / 333).
