This little "bar" is extraordinary when you are served by Mr. Domingo, preferably directly at the counter. He's been running his restaurant for 27 years, is only open at lunchtime and serves many delicacies. The Botequim is a must during a city tour!

Eating at Botequim Da Mouraria is a very special experience. Exactly 12 guests fit at the wooden counter. If you are lucky enough to get one of the seats - reservations are not accepted here - you can enjoy Florbela's culinary skills and Domingo's warm service. The couple has been running the shop for over 20 years and is a well-rehearsed team. Delicious specialties from the Alentejo are served: pig's feet with coriander, black pork fillet, pork sausages in different variations, house cod, but also purslane salad, grilled mushrooms or roasted peppers with garlic.
