Where the stave church once stood not far from the orphaned Albrechtshaus, the floor plans of this can still be seen on the ground. If you look at the tiled floor, you can not only guess the former entrance, but also the location of the altar. In combination with the other ruins on site, it is a very atmospheric place. However, if you expect a beautiful wooden church, you should now go to Stiege. The now restored stave church is located there in its new location not far from the train station.

The Stiege stave church, built in 1905, stood for 116 years in the Selke Valley between Stiege, Breitenstein and Güntersberge. The relocation of the Stiege Stave Church began in March 2021. In 2022 it is to be inaugurated at the new location near the Stiege station of the Harz narrow-gauge railway.
