During the district reform in 1972 Unterlangenstadt came from Kronach to Lichtenfels, Burkersdorf from Lichtenfels to Kronach, Leutendorf, Hofsteinach, Horb an der Steinach from Coburg to Kronach. 1977 in the course of the municipal area reform from Marktgraitz to the municipality of Schneckenlohe. The tri-border area, which used to be near the Schneckenlohe sports field, has been given a new location as a result of this reform.
