Why continue following the Scheldedijk when you can walk straight through the Roggeman via a small staircase and a gate?
The Roggeman was once a channel of the Scheldt that was refilled over time with sandy and loamy material that was deposited in the bend. This created a natural cut-off in the 12th-13th century. The Roggeman is the polder between the Oude Scheldearm and the current course.
The walking path makes an angle of 90° here: one arm is perpendicular to the dike; the second runs parallel to it to (or from, depending on your walking direction) the Roggemandstraat on the edge of the village centre of Moerzeke.
At that spot you may walk between sheep; for 50m you can imagine yourself in Wales ;)
