This beautiful section of the unpaved coastal ecovia bike trail is in decent shape as of 2019 and bikeable with a regular touring bike, which makes the fertile estuary and the wetlands around the salt evaporation ponds easily accessible.

The area is on the one hand a fertile estuary, on the other hand, salt can be mined here in the salt pans. Due to the tides, the landscape changes constantly. Beautiful unpaved bike path.
