    A nice, quiet hike.

Motzener Strasse runs along the eastern side of the Güldensee. It is part of the Hofjagdweg. This cycle path leads from Königs Wusterhausen to the Spreewald and follows in the footsteps of Prussian history.

On the way back to Groß Köris you will encounter old peasants from time to time. They are witnesses of the former use of the forest as a forest pasture and for the collection of pine needles as litter. The so-far-removed soils led to crooked trees with spreading crowns and strong branches.

On some pines, you can see a pattern in the bark - the so-called laughter. These trees were used as Harz trees before the political change in 1989. The recovered termentin oil was used in the paint and coatings industry, as well as for the production of synthetic camphor.
