The path over the ridge on Eckenberg is quite steep, but with good shoes you can walk well. There is still plenty of snow here in the spring, and the trail is not as well-known as the one over the Gamshütte and therefore not so well-worn.

Probably the quickest and quietest route, but also the steepest route to the Wank. Very beautiful path with many viewpoints towards the Zugspitze and Estergebirge. In winter there is often a lot of snow in the upper part, which often leads to deep holes. Much of the path is also in the forest, where the snow freezes quickly and becomes slippery, so be a little careful. But in winter you can also see a few chamois🤫
