The route in the Wiedtal is really a pleasure. What many do not know is that in large parts a great bike path runs parallel to the country road, which is often in much better condition than the country road. This crosses the Wied in some places, once also over a suspension bridge, where it is better to get off. Those who are not looking for the next PR but are more on the go for enjoyment will hardly be bothered by it. Only in autumn would I prefer the road, as the cycle path is badly cleared and then there is often a lot of leaves and branches everywhere.
