At the highest point of the Allenberg, which is popularly known as the “little comb”, two stately sequoia trees have found their place among the native plants. The larger of the two sequoias measures approx. 35 meters, with a circumference of a proud 4.80 meters and a diameter of 1.53 meters (as of October 2021). It can be recognized from afar, as its characteristic tip clearly towers above all other trees in the area. In the summer of 2021, the sequoias of Blieshaben-Bolchen were officially declared a natural monument.

"Shortly after the Second World War, the forest warden at the time, Rudolf Herrmann, dedicated himself to a special project: As part of a reforestation program, he wanted to investigate which non-native trees thrived in the "Menger Forest". Various tree species were imported from abroad, including two sequoias and several thujas , purchased. On the highest point of the Allenberg, which is popularly known as "Kämmchen", Rudolf Herrmann laid out a plant garden."
