Seravezza, together with the municipalities of Pietrasanta, Forte dei Marmi and Stazzema, is part of Versilia, a Tuscan sub-region in the province of Lucca. It is a small town located at the confluence of two streams, the Serra and the Vezza, which from here on give life to the Versilia river.
Seravezza is famous both for a beautiful 16th century Medici villa, declared World Heritage Site by Unesco and because, in different times of the year, it houses folklore events, reviews of local products, festivities and sacred events.
From 2014 onwards, in April, a non-competitive charity cycle tour starts from Seravezza in honor of Marco Talini: he was a courageous insulin-dependent person engaged in various transcontinental bike tours to support the fight against diabetes and poverty; but in 2013, during the his cycling tour Ushuaia-Alaska, he was killed by a truck in Mexico.
