Hiking

The former toll house was built in the late Gothic style with a cellar vault from the 15th century. The building was then on the border of the former empire and was used for border clearance for Danube ships. Today the beautiful building serves as a culture cellar for exhibitions and musical performances.

Hiking

The Imperial Toll House from the 15th century was once considered the border building of the former empire. A wall painting (sgraffito) gives a vivid overview of the history of the toll house and its importance for the border clearance of ships, which sometimes took several days. On the Danube side, old flood marks can be seen, which often indicate difficult times for the residents of the town. The building was completely renovated and has been the headquarters of the North Service Center of Energie AG Upper Austria since 1999.
