The Montreal Olympic Stadium is a covered sports stadium with a maximum capacity of 65,000 seats, designed by the French architect Roger Taillibert and built for the 1976 Summer Olympics. Nicknamed in English the "Big O" for reference its shape seen from above, it is the largest stadium in Canada. The stadium and its leaning tower of 165 meters1 high are emblematic of the city of Montreal. Since 2012 and the accession in MLS, it is the winter stage of the Montreal Impact. In addition to the fields, it contains a sports center with several pools.

Olympic Stadium[1] (French: Stade olympique) is a multi-purpose stadium in Canada, located at Olympic Park in the Hochelaga-Maisonneuve district of Montreal. Built in the mid-1970s as the main venue for the 1976 Summer Olympics, it is nicknamed "The Big O", a reference to both its name and to the doughnut-shape of the permanent component of the stadium's roof. It is also called "The Big Owe" to reference the astronomical cost of the stadium and the 1976 Olympics as a whole.[8]
