Sculpture path around the Jade Bay - a mosaic in words and pictures

Along the North Sea coast cycle path around the Jade Bay on the dike protection line, you can admire both the seven days of the story of creation on the west bank of the Jade Bay and seven stone and metal representations of the preservation of creation from the flood (preservation of creation behind the dike) along the eastern Jade Bay. The path currently ends with the representation of the Tower of Babel near Langwarden. The sculptures are the results of the work of the sculpture symposiums on the dike. The initiator was cultural coordinator and retired pastor Frank Klimmeck. "It is important to the two dyke strips to give the coastal residents and the numerous guests of our region access to the elementary requirements for life in this space that extends into the sea." Leenert Cornelius, Früsmer Ortgies.

+++ Visit and discover the Langwarder Groden (since 2019 the circular hiking trail has been awarded the "Quality Trail for Hikable Germany"): barrier-free 4-kilometer circular hiking trail and a 2-kilometer nature discovery trail. Several species of birds can be seen in the area of the trails. We were able to observe various seagulls, redshanks, avocets, oystercatchers and a few other birds. If you're lucky, you can also see seals waiting to be photographed by me. :-)
