The old hut at the spider "Am Zollstock" was torn down and a new, beautiful "hut" made of Keschte wood was erected. The climb to the hut is over huge sandstones. -
There used to be a trade route here between the Hohenberg and the Förlenberg, as there was a customs station here around 1786. The territories of the Electoral Palatinate, the Diocese of Speyer and the Duchy of Zweibrücken met here. When the territories were dissolved, the customs station was also closed after only three years by the French Revolution. A memorial stone from 1986 still bears witness to the customs station today.
