This lime tree was planted on March 18, 1871 by landowner
Karl Gottlieb Blumentritt (1823-1893)
and his son
Emil Blumentritt (1857-1938) on their own land. The reason for this was the Armistice of Versailles, which ended the Franco-Prussian War on February 21, 1871.
