Hiking

I recommend this route for both ascent and descent. The path is more pleasant to walk and offers beautiful panoramic views of Garmisch Partenkirchen, the Alpspitze and the Zugspitze massif. The alternative route from the Königsstand into the valley is significantly narrower, steeper and offers less views.
