The Collegiate Church of the Assumption is a Catholic temple located in the historic center of Pastrana. Location of the Parish Tapestry Museum. The simple and sober appearance of the exterior of this great building has nothing to do with the grandeur and splendor of its interior.
In the 13th century, under the patronage of the Order of Calatrava, a first repopulated Romanesque-style church was built in a simple way in the space now occupied by the choir. In the following centuries there were several extensions and transformations of style.
