Volosko, a fishing village with a long tradition that is closely connected to the sea, is now a popular destination for gourmets with its first-class restaurants. The Mediterranean spirit can be felt everywhere in the architecture of Volosko. The stone stairs and alleys of Volosko are home to art galleries and studios and the heart of the place is its small fishing port Mandrać, which today serves as a stage for performances by Klape singing groups, jazz concerts and various art events. Apart from the historical and cultural sights, such as the birthplace of the world-famous scientist Andrija Mohorovičić, a visit to Volosko is also worthwhile for its beaches and for the ten-kilometer-long Lungomare promenade, which stretches from here along the coast to Opatija and further on Lovran extends.
