The park is world famous. A must-see. It actually takes several hours to explore the entire park. The park and the castle are a world heritage site and extend across Germany and, for the most part, into Poland. It is connected by several bridges over the Neisse.

The fact that Muskau Park has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 2004 is largely thanks to Prince Hermann von Pückler-Muskau (1785–1871). He created a masterpiece on both sides of the Neisse, which is known as the classic landscape garden. The green prince is considered to be the founder of modern landscape design with influences that extended beyond Europe to America.
