The fact that Muskau Park has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 2004 is largely thanks to Prince Hermann von Pückler-Muskau (1785–1871). He created a masterpiece on both sides of the Neisse, which is known as the classic landscape garden. The green prince is considered to be the founder of modern landscape design with influences that extended beyond Europe to America.

The palace gardens in Muskau Park are a place where nature and history come together in an impressive way. The extensive park, which stretches on both sides of the Neisse, was created by Prince Hermann von Pückler-Muskau and is considered one of the most important examples of classical landscape design. When you stroll through the well-kept paths and spacious meadows, it is easy to understand why this park has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 2004.Pückler's vision of an open, natural park shapes the image. The palace gardens offer a mix of wide lines of sight, dense stands of trees and the calm flow of the Neisse. Nothing seems random, but follows the well-thought-out design of the "green prince". The influence of his ideas reaches as far as America, and his modern approach to landscape design has left its mark far beyond Europe. As you stroll through the park, surrounded by old trees and views of the magnificently restored castle, you can experience the connection between man and nature - an experience that makes Muskau Park a special destination.
