The history of this charming chapel is just as atypical as the location of its construction in the middle of the Bonneville countryside. Surrounded by several huge lime trees, the Fond d´el Côre Chapel owes its name to the recognition of two brothers, who erected it following a mishap here. In 1850, while the two traveling companions were passing through the region aboard their cart, a violent storm broke out. Frightened by the violence of the storm, the horses raced, leading the two travelers on their frantic run. Miraculously, the drawbar of the cart fortunately did not resist and broke dead, which stopped the cart and probably saved the two brothers at the same time. Marked by this episode, they decided to erect a chapel to the Virgin on this site, as a sign of gratitude. On the key to the bow, you can also read the inscription that refers to this mishap: "NOTRE DAME / DE / BONSECOURS / PRAY FOR / US / 1850".
