The lighthouse is about 2 m too low to be a real lighthouse. The 14.3 meter high lighthouse still holds a special record: no lighthouse in Germany changed its color as often as it did. It turned green because nautical orientation marks are to be marked in green ...
There have been no pilots or lighthouse keepers on the small peninsula for a long time.
