De Halsche Beemden is a 10-hectare nature reserve in the valley of the Merkske, near the hamlet of Hal te Minderhout, in the Belgian province Antwerp

The grounds are owned by Natuurpunt  and are managed by Natuurpunt and the ANB. It is the oldest nature reserve in the valley of the Mark.

The area mainly consists of botanically interesting haylands, stream accompanying groves and of course the Merkske itself. The (poplar) forests with a rich spring flora are systematically converted into forests accompanying the stream, which consist of black alder, ash and common bird cherry. A fly of more than 100 years old is a striking appearance.

The Halsche Beemden and the entire Merkske valley have a large biodiversity. Among the flora you will find: vegetable thistle, slender primrose, common marsh marigold, true cuckoo flower, wood anemone, muskwort, tuberous saxifrage and large rattle. The fauna present includes: dragonflies such as the forest damselfly and the meadow damselfly, birds such as the golden oriole and the nightingale, the butterflies, orange tip, and the map, and the amphibians, crested newts, and bastard frogs. Part of the path runs over decking. because it is too muddy to walk. and even then parts of the trail are really muddy . Good footwear recommended.
