One of the attractions at the former military training area are the four towers open to the public. Three of these are former military observation towers dating back to 1981, which have now been prepared for public access. The Hursch, Waldgreut, and Heroldstatt towers are owned and maintained by the Swabian Alb Association on a voluntary basis.
