Tips

  • Chris Rommel

Super nice spot, nice for a picnic. There is a meadow right by the stream and a gravel path for hiking and walking.

There are several barbecue areas and a small refuge at the Filsursprung.

Was already there often. Unfortunately always a bit crowded, nevertheless worth a visit.

The Filsursprung was for my tour at the same time destination and starting point. In good weather and on weekends his favorite destination.

Beautiful valley - unfortunately sometimes terribly overcrowded. Anyone who likes to jostle with 1000 people on a meadow, the remains - the other just stops by.

Recommendation: drive back the same way. On the left side of Fils after rain very uncomfortable.

Here you can find both a cool place at the source and a sunny place at the young Fils

Clear recommendation, but very crowded on weekends and public holidays.

It is overcrowded here on weekends or public holidays. But it's worth it during the week. Take a snack and blanket with you.

Also by bike or e-bike, except in snow or ice! Why? Coming from a spring experience from Harwachthaus to Filsursprung in inviting conditions with well-defrosted paths on the plateau, downhill in the forest to Filsursprung, extreme amounts of residual snow and ice.
Can only be done with chains.

Here you will find both a shady spot directly at the spring pot, as well as a sun spot on the young Fils

It is fascinating to see how the Fils spring water gushes out. It is also pleasantly cool on the spring pot

Beautiful place with several barbecue areas, unfortunately heavily frequented on the WE

Popular excursion destination with a small barbecue area and a refuge. If the parking lot at the former mill is closed in winter, it is probably no longer as crowded, as you then have about 3km from Wiesensteig to there.

Great bike path in the Filstal. We drove at the end of October with 25 degrees and wonderful weather. The cycle path runs on a former railway line (Tälesbahn). There are only a few road crossings and mostly only slight gradients.
