The first mention of the church in Morzyca dates back to 1493. It is not known what it looked like then. In 1613 it was thoroughly rebuilt. The window openings were changed and a blind decoration was made on the eastern gable. In the 19th century it was renovated, but it is not known to what extent. After World War II the church was abandoned and fell into ruin. Only fragments of the perimeter walls remained. It was rebuilt in 1999.
