Redjep Pasha Mosque, built from 1587 to 1588, stands on Arionos Square and is considered one of the most important monuments of Muslim architecture on the Aegean Islands. The building is not accessible due to restoration work.

Hiking

The mosque dates from 1588. It is located in the south of the old town on Platia Doreon. It is dilapidated and not accessible, but is currently being renovated.

It consists of a porch, a commemorative entrance gate, a minaret and a prayer hall with a square plan covered by a vault. The prayer niche and the pulpit are made of marble. South-east of the mosque stands the mausoleum of Redjeb Pasha, while north-east are the purification fountains.

A sundial on Orpheus, outside the Süleyman-Pascha-Moschee, Rhodes. It appears to be dated (in eastern arabic numerals ١٣٢١) either 1221 or 1321. I very much doubt it is that old.

It has a long thin gnomon, and the hours are shown in eastern arabic numerals.
