April 15, 2017
The Casa Manrique is the last residence of the artist until his accidental death on 25 Sept. 1992. The whole island is characterized by its objects, all worthwhile to look at. He has made Lanzarote what the island is today. Cesar Manrique continues to live on this island through his art.

If you walk down Calle Elvira Sánchez out of town you will pass the "Museo De Cesar Manrique".
The artist and architect César Manrique, who left a significant mark on the landscape and architecture of Lanzarote, chose the cozy village of Haría as his place of residence. In 1988 he moved into the farmhouse that he had restored himself. He was also buried here in the cemetery when he died in 1992 as a result of a car accident near his Foundation César Manrique. His simple tomb is in the small chapel in the Haría cemetery.
