Small area managed by Natuurpunt with high biological value, because of its great plant diversity:
Some of the species that can still be found here are on the so-called Red List and are endangered or rare. Botanically, the current species diversity includes: pipe straw, smooth and rough bedstraw, peat moss, spotted orchid, small valerian, blue, yellow-green and black sedge, field rush, wild bertram, blue knot, common heather, tormentil and pennywort. This is one of the only locations in East Flanders for some of these species.
