Today, with the coal port, the Haedge peninsula, various fish halls and storage buildings, you can mainly see the port development of the 19th and early 20th centuries in Rostock's city harbor. Numerous companies are now based around the old storage facilities. Among them is the shipping company AIDA Cruises, which has now developed into one of the largest employers in the Hanseatic city.
