Chapel of the Resurrection (11., Alberner Hafenzufahrtsstraße; New Cemetery of the Nameless), built 1933-1935 according to plans by Carl Eder on the occasion of the strengthening of the Danube flood protection dams in black Vienna; built with the support of the Voluntary Labor Service; Albern was only incorporated into the 23rd district of Greater Vienna in 1938. It has been part of the Simmering district since 1956.

The newer part of the cemetery was created in 1900 on the other side of the protective dam. In 1935, during the work to strengthen the protective dam, the cemetery received a stone enclosing wall and the Resurrection Chapel. In the period 1900 to 1940, a total of 104 water bodies were buried in the new part of the Cemetery of the Nameless. Only 43 of them could be identified
