Olavshaugen, a few hundred meters east of the Stiklestad Church, is one of the oldest and most important memorials in Norway. Throughout history, a number of different monuments have adorned the hill.
According to tradition, the story of Olavshaugen began on the night of July 30th, 1030 with a wooden shed that served as a hiding place for the body of Olav Haraldsson. Here is the famous miracle of the blind man who regained his sight after touching the king's blood.
