Barth Miracle Oak

It can be reached via the Barth town exit in a westerly direction to Darß. Instead of turning right onto the peninsula, walk a few meters further and then turn left in the direction of Planitz. A walk into the Barther Stadtholz along the south-western main path soon leads to the signposted miracle oak. Such wonderful oaks (sometimes also beeches) stood in large numbers in the country in the past centuries. Their frequent cures for ailments such as rheumatism, gout or paralysis are considered reliable traditions due to the psychological miracle effect and the effort of will when climbing.
