At this "intersection" you have the choice: You can follow the path towards Saaleaue. Here, you should pay attention to hanging trees, deadwood or rocky outcrops, the walking of the floodplain happens at your own risk.

Links are easier. Here you follow the marked discovery trail. Many trees here are marked with numbers and dots: sheltered cave trees with breeding caves whose entrance hole points to the east. After this model also the woodpecker forge was designed, a beautiful refuge, which follows a little later. Passing the woodpecker smithy, a trail leads to a Swedish-style birch grove. From here, a wonderful view opens into the Saale valley.
