Grävenitz Castle, also known as the New Castle, is located on the northern edge of Heimsheim's historic center, directly adjacent to the so-called Schlegler Castle. The baroque building was built in 1729/1730 by Paolo Retti. The two-story plastered structure with a mansard roof is accessible via a double staircase. Inside, the contemporary ceiling painting depicting Hercules at the Crossroads by Carlo Carlone adorns what is now the council chamber. The stucco marble cladding of the walls by Antonio Corbellini was probably created at the same time. The castle includes a castle garden.Grävenitz Castle in Heimsheim is of national importance due to its architectural design and especially its ceiling painting.
