"The stones from the quarry on the rhine side were brought to the west and from the quarry on the Heisterbacher side to the north via a brake track to valley.The course of the track is still well visible in the terrain.The brake track had two parallel rail tracks, on These wagons for transporting the stones were connected by a rope, so that the full lorries, which had been lowered to the bottom, pulled up the already emptied ones by their weight.At the bottom station the rocks were transhipped and brought to the Rhine for further transport.
