Hiking

Calver Mill is such a starkly impressive building that it was used as a set for the 1970s BBC television series 'Colditz'. However, this is not a remnant of the Second World War but dates back to the early days of the Industrial Revolution. From cotton spinning to steel-making, Calver Mill played an important part in the region's industry. The mill was converted into luxury apartments in 2001.
