Each village around Homberg has its own charm and focal point, as it's a cluster of villages, and the "Homberger Platt" dialect is a little different in each place. Don't miss the opportunity to purchase regional specialties at the farm shops, such as the authentic North Hessian AHLE WORSCHT. It's delicious served on fresh, crispy sourdough slices with onion rings, or on its own, air-dried, smoked, or freshly soft. Personally, I like it best "rock-hard, eaten out of the hand with a sandwich"!
