Since 1911, the Ursuline nuns have been active here. The sisters first ran an orphanage in the early 20th century, then a Catholic school, which was closed in 1950 by the Soviet occupation. Since then, people with mental disabilities have been cared for here.
The magnificently designed portal of the church, behind which a three-aisled, low church room extends, is striking.
