Heedfeld belonged until the 19th century of the Midder peasantry of the parish Hülscheid. From 1816, the place was part of the community Hülscheid in the Mayor Halver in the district Altena, 1818 lived 72 inhabitants in place. According to the locality and distance table of the governmental district Arnsberg categorized as Kirchdorf, letter station and school place owned in 1839 under the name Hedfeld a church, two public buildings, 14 residential buildings, three factories or mills and ten agricultural buildings. At this time lived 114 inhabitants in the village, all Protestant confession.
