Doable from bottom to top, very steep, lots of loose ground, difficult and not recommended or even impossible in bad weather or wet conditions. From top to bottom is closed at least at the moment (I wouldn't recommend it either)!

The Xaver-Winkler-Steig is a real challenge. The narrow path climbs 28% at its steepest point, which doesn't always provide a firm footing due to the loose, gravelly ground. The ascent is very strenuous, and the descent is at times quite slippery, which I wouldn't recommend.
